Onward flies the seagull
Her melancholy call
Betraying those that follow
As really nothing at all.

Past ships and docks
She flies with speed,
Her path never will it alter.

The seagull knows where her life is,
For she flies above the water.

  1. Wonderful.

This evoked that great early Donovan song about this common, yet enigmatic creature.

This moment of reflection was like sweetener in my morning coffee – pleasant, and thought provoking.
